A Day In My Shoes is a grassroots movement of families and guardians of Floridians with intellectual and developmental disabilities created to raise awareness of Florida’s growing caregiver crisis. This movement helps individuals share their story of the unbelievable love, compassion they experience while examining some of the real challenges they face each day.
Please Help Us Make A Difference By Contacting your Legislator and asking him or her to : Please ensure Floridians with intellectual disabilities have adequate services to meet their needs. Fix the Agency for Persons with Disabilities IBudget rate problems by funding the new Dept. of Labor Homecare rule costs and approving the provider rate increases for Adult Day Training, Residential Habitation, and Personal Support services.
